The RAT II is a smaller version of the iconic RAT I. The RAT II was designed by Randall's Adventure Training for Ontario Knife Company as a tough EDC knife capable of thriving in hard use environments. It strikes an outstanding balance of being robust without feeling bulky. The offset blade design makes it excellent for peircing or push cutting tasks. With a traditional straight back and durable AUS-8 steel, the blade will stand up to heavy use without giving out on you.
The RAT II makes a good EDC knife when you need your tool to work hard. With it's simple but robust construction it is easy to clean and maintain, and the AUS-8 steel can be sharpened easily--even in the field. This is a great knife to have in the pocket around town, but is equally at home at the beach, in the woods, or on the jobsite.
